STEP 1 Find an academic article that you will select from a list of topics below. The article must relate to a topic or subtopic of class material. It must come from one of the academic databases like JSTOR or Academic Search Complete. Our library workshop will reveal all that is available to you through our CSM library. The article must be peer-reviewed and 10-15 pages in length. STEP 2 Once you find the article of your choice, it must be approved by me by 9/24/2021. No exceptions. Submit here. STEP 3 Read the approved article at least one or two times. STEP 4 Formulate a written synopsis that summarizes the article. No bullet points accepted but please do write in complete sentences with capitalization and punctuation. As you create the slides alongside your text, try to think of it in the following way: Pretend we have a presentation day in class, and think about telling a story that captures the main points of the article. Transition from frame to frame with image and write the text that correlates. As you develop the main points in each “Notes Section,” make sure your summarized paragraphs connect to the corresponding slide. The Powerpoint or Google Slide images don’t have to come from the article. Please search from online sources like Artstor (Links to an external site.). Be as creative as you wish and lead your reader from point to point. 3. Length: Desirable length is no more than 10-12 slides. The number is not as important as the content that drives your ideas.
