Cultural Taboos Assignment (40 Points)
For this assignment, you will be researching the cultural taboos of 10 different countries from
around the world and comparing them to cultural taboos in the United States.
This website must be used to access information about the countries you select:

Click on the link above to open the website.
On the upper right of the screen is a drop-down menu with the heading “Get to Know Your
World”.
From this dropdown menu, select a country you would like to explore.
You should be taken to a webpage with the country’s information.
On the bottom left will be a box with the heading “Basics”.
In this box, you will see a link for Taboos. Click on this link to open a new webpage.
A list of taboos for that country should be listed in the orange box. If the country you selected
has no taboos, select another country.
Repeat this for 9 more international countries and for the United States.
Your submission should be completed in the table below. In the first column, enter the names
of the countries you selected. The United States is already listed for you in the last row of the
table.
In the second column, type or cut and paste the list of taboos for each country you selected and
for the United States from the webpages you reviewed on this website.
After entering the information in the table, complete the 3 discussion questions below the
table.
