Select a segment within the sports industry of your choice (youth, high school, collegiate, professional or international sport). For that segment, you are responsible for selecting an event that you must devise a plan for.
Your plan MUST include the following:
1. Identify your segment, and provide a brief history as to why you selected that segment.
2. Select an event to market.
3. Put together a ideal budget to manage, market and promote that event. Your budget must include staffing, facility management, event management itself, and any additional promotional/marketing expenses.
4. You must also include a sponsor proposal with a sales pitch making the sponsor want to assist you with your event.
The assignment will be a minimum 5 pages in length (not including cover page). Within those 5 pages, one page will be dedicated to your ideal budget outlining costs associated with managing your event, one page dedicated to outlining why you selected the segment and event, one page dedicated to your marketing and promotional plan, one page to your sponsorship proposal, and one page summarizing your sales pitch.
Any outside sources used must be cited appropriately.
