(33 points total each category is worth 3 points)
General Directions:
? You must complete this section for only the first year after you graduate from Ohio
University with the degree you are currently pursuing.
? You must live in the United States, even if you will not in real life. Refer back to the
general directions for requirements for this project.
? For the following 11 Categories, write a short paragraph to answer the questions under
each heading using complete sentences. Remove the questions from your submission.
Answer the questions below that apply to you in complete sentences and paragraph
form not just a word or two. You need to have a minimum of 100 words in each
paragraph to answer the question. If a question within a category does not apply to
your situation you do not need to answer it. You do need to provide an answer for all
11 categories even if you will not have any expenses in the category. If you are not sure
how to provide an answer for a category in which you dont have any expense, be sure
to ask.
? You do not need to include dollar amounts in these paragraphs. That information will
be included in your Spreadsheet Assignment.
? Remove my directions and the questions below before you submit your assignment but
keep the headings.
Expense Category Paragraphs:
1. Location
o Choose a city and state in the United States. You can remain where you currently
live if that is your plan. What is the city and state you chose?
o Why do you want to live here?

o How are you going to move your belongings from their current location to this
new location?
o Will you need to get a new drivers license, car license plates, and car
registration?
o Will you need to pay deposits to set up new utility services?
2. Home
o Choose a place to live in the city/state you chose above. Search for an
apartment or house online in the city/state you have chosen.
?
Insert a screen shot or cut and paste a copy of the advertisement for the
apartment/house. The price must be visible in the screen shot or copy.
Do not include a URL alone.
?
If you are thinking of buying a house right after graduation, you must
discuss where you will get the 10 20% down payment you will most
likely need to make the purchase.
?
If you currently own a home, you can use it for this section.
o Describe the home. How many rooms will you have? Will you have your own
outside space?
o What costs, if any, are covered in the rent if you are in an apartment?
o Do you have any deposits that need to be paid to live here?
o What utilities will you have to pay for outside of the cost of rent/mortgage
payment? If the advertisement doesnt specifically mention that a utility is
included in the rent, you can assume that you will need to pay it on your own.

parents/guardians for this assignment even if you really will be.
