Assume the role of the new director of a professional organization, amental health clinic, or a private nonprofit research institution or auniversity program. Most of the staff/faculty have been part of theorganization for years, and the atmosphere is very collegial. You,however, have heard, that shortcuts are being taken and potentialethical violations are not being addressed by colleagues. Now, you arepreparing
for your first meeting with the entire staff. Your goal is toemphasize the need for ethical decision making and the importance ofplacing the clients’ or students’ needs and rights above those of thestaff. Additionally, your PowerPoint presentation should emphasize theAPA Ethics Code and the standards for resolving ethical violations. Inyour speaker notes, include examples of hypothetical violations. Youmust utilize and cite the Ethical Standards that you believe may be thesubject of violation.
Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as wellas speaker notes for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised ofbrief paragraphs or bulleted lists.
Support your presentation with at least fivescholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources may be included.
